  1. They were going to be from Toymods, but we have moved our dyno day later by a week, so it coincides with the holiday now, so now we can't make it down. I'm dead keen to get down there, but I'll wait until my conversion is done now I think.
  2. Rob!!! you forgot Mish!!! she's not going to be happy :P
  3. the very reason there is a minimum ride height right there ^^^^ I've seen that happen before, but never leaving the entire exhaust behind.
  4. I've suggested that to Bill many times... for some reason he doesn't see the humor in it :P
  5. Brenn, I've got some rather tasty ones from the National Meet of your car and the engine bay. pm the address and I'll send you a link to download them (they are too large to send)
  6. Mark and Mish... you guys rock... but you are sooooooooooo philo :P
  7. Are you interesting in me finding out if a group from the North wants to come down? I'm certainly interested in trying a different circuit to Wakefield Park for a change, and being a long weekend makes it hard to say no. :D
  8. :o :o :o :o buddhamobile take 2 :) I like it
  9. yeah I got the PFC when the AU$ was at 106 Yen :D timed to perfection no engine and g/b yet, but there are plenty of options at my disposal. If all else fails I'll just grab one from King Wreck bu I'd prefer to buy one from auction
  10. Well since writing a thesis gives me way to much procrastination time I thought I share a few of the goings on during that period... Firstly, the healthy AU$ vs the Yen meant PowerFC was purchased in preparation of the 2ZZ-GE conversion I also picked up some nice Super Strut twin piston calipers with 2 sets of discs, one getting a little thin but the other with heaps of meat on it still. Whiteline Adjustable Swaybars front and rear. Front has been installed and the rear will go in when I buy the necessary hardware to install it (drop links, bush saddles and necessary bolts) My clutch master cylinder has a slow leak, so I bought a replacement through Road and Track in Qld which I'll endevour to fit tomorrow. I've also done some research into the exhaust to use. The standard Toyota headers, even though they are well designed, the firewall on the AW11 does not agree with them. They fit, but the flange where the Cat-converter fits is pointed at the firewall so a slight redesign is required. Weather that means I use the standard ones with the collector repositioned, or look at some custom ones is still up in the air. I've found some that are designed for the US Matrix XRS which may fit but they don't look nearly as sexy as these I found for the Lotus... Unfortunately these would require me to remove the firewall to fit them, and I kind of like the boot space. Lastly, the middle is the style of muffler and exhaust tip I'm hoping to use. Again these are designed for the lotus. I think the outlet pipes on these would foul with the rear of the AW11 but there are similar designs out there with 2 outlets on the muffler, one on each side.
  11. The thing Renault have on their side is the fact that the information was loaded onto a single computer by Phil Mackereth who was suspended from the team as soon as it was discovered, then the FIA and McLaren were both notified that the information was present on their system. Only a hand full of people had seen the information and it was never made into a hard copy, unlike the Ferrari information that McLaren had.
  12. Just like McLaren were at the start too... just wait for the appeal...
  13. that's one on each bank though... you can get what's called twin screw superchargers which is basically like a sequential twin turbo setup when one screw spools up then the second spools up more. They have been fitted to 4A-GZEs in the past with good success.
  14. A new wheel should cost you ~$260. Not worth it for insurance.

You're right Brenn, it is luxury... :D
  16. wo, wo, wo up for a second people... You've got rockets in your engine? WTF do you need a turbo for if you got rockets in your engine.
  17. since the hub conversion would also need to be engineered and cost a lot more... do the maths :)
  18. Heaps of people do it, I've never seen it being illegal though, this doesn't mean that is isn't however.
