Essentially, I ignore them. I do take a deep breath and stay cool, calm and collected. I drive safe and smart i.e. defensively with about twice the braking distance so it is a relaxing non.stressful drive. Most definitely, I am NOT going to brake-check them. Even if nothing is done make sure that it will be on record just ib case the worst happens.

It appears to me that you are describing an intermittent parasitic power drain on the battery. There are potentially multiple causes for this issue. Just totally guessing but when there are periods of heavy rain, you are driving with headlights on [more power drain] and as a daily driver not using the headlights very often. I looked at some YouTube videos and one test showed that 1 cell in the battery was failing. I think that is going to very much depend upon the condition of the suspension and whether the front and rear shock absorbers/struts need to be replaced. Quite some time ago, I had the alarm go off on my Aurion a number of minutes after locking the doors but not a delay of 20 or even 40 minutes. I cannot remember the sequence of events but I ended up sitting in the car with the window down just in case the doors locked or could not open. I am sure that I used both the remote control to lock and unlock the doors then also used the central door locking switch on the driver's door.

A lower viscosity oil will be more easily drawn past worn piston rings and/or drawn into the intake manifold if the oil channels in the valve cover are sludged up and the PCV valve is not working properly.

Check and clean the Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve. Something else you can do is to disconnect the hose from the PCV valve and block the end of the hose with a bolt or similar solid object. This eliminates the possibility of oil being vacuumed up from the valve cover into the intake. If after doing this hose disconnect, the engine is still smoking badly, then looks like you will need to have a leak down test to identify what engine repairs are most likely required.
