  1. If you are happy with the product and price, why not go for it?
  2. Put it on Gumtree or similar and price it accordingly. Wreckers will give you scrap metal value. Parting out is difficult unless you do it yourself.
  3. It is a good forum once you have been approved.
  4. It would pay for you to sign up to http://www.ozcelica.com as well. It will take a while for your account to be manually approved, but should be worth it in the end. Those guys have a lot more experience with the import Celicas.
  5. Do you have any additional filters installed in the fuel system? You may be getting bad fuel if it is only over a short period. Have you had any codes read?
  6. It's not very up to date...I should probably fix that at some stage.
  7. Ultra Racing are known to be reputable. Dollar for dollar, upgrading a swaybar is the best handling mod you can do.
  8. Welcome. The city is definitely where it's advantages(fuel economy/size) thrive.
  9. I service using good quality oils, every 5,000km or 6 monthly; which ever comes first. 7,500km should be fine. Obviously there is an extra cost, but the advantages of a clean sludge-free engine outweigh it.
  10. What kms are you averaging with that? 12 months is generally far too far apart.
  11. There are still ways to get parts, but they are few and far between these days; and usually involve long waiting times and high costs. I wouldn't advise it if, it is your only means of transport.
  12. I have the SR and have no issues with any of the adjustments. I am fairly tall as well and find it reasonably comfortable, so it may be a personal fitment issue.
  13. Duplicate thread and created in the wrong section. Closed. Please only create on topic per subject.
  14. Where there is a will, there is away. If you put your mind to it, you can achieve it. I never used to be in a position to modify my Camry, but over the years, I have put myself in a position to do so and have achieved this.
  15. If you look in the front of the Service and Warranty booklet, it will have servicing intervals. The chain should not require replacement, the tensioner may. If you don't have the manual, it can be found here: https://toyotamanuals.com.au/ Generally, as long as genuine Toyota parts are used, warranty will be retained. Factory warranty(non-extended) only applies for the first 3 years of ownership.
  16. There are plenty of Youtube videos on the subject. Ensure that the battery is disconnected, give the brake pedal a few pumps to remove residual charge and leave for 10-15 minutes before removing.
  17. Helicoil should be fine, did you use anti-seize on it? That would be my only suggestion.
  18. A right angle drill/drill bit may be your only chance along with modifying the tap and helicoil installation tool. It's a pretty tight space in there and honestly, taking the head off may be the better choice.
  19. No. Your best bet is to grab a torch, some paper towel, a garden hose and an assistant. Then start drenching all of the seals whilst the other person checks for leaks.
