Myself, I'm not one to go with coloured hoses and paited engine bay bits (extra money I could spend on go fast bits). But you could go with The Wheels option and go crazy with a can of matt black spray paint.

does the cam gasket need replacing if i take it off?

your engine should be fresh enough that the rubber gasket and plug tube seals will still be soft. You need a tube of form-in-place gasket to re-seal the half-moon corners at the cam part of the gasket when re-assembling. It's detailed in the service manual.

Still need to figure out how to tidy up the wiring more...

why is there a filter on the tube coming off the CAI? That would be introducing unmetered flow to the intake and messing with your tune...

Paint looks good.

The bung that i had on there, which was just a cap off a bottle had gradually started to melt, so i had to do something about it...

i have had it on there for a few weeks now, and i haven't had any problems... do you think i should remove it? what can i cap it off with?

Thanks for the compliment :D

I'd definately cap it, it will be messing with your air fuel ratio's quite a bit.

Should be able to get a rubber cap from industrial plumbing places, Pirtek, Enzed, LHS, or use a section of rubber hose with a bolt jammed in the other end, etc etc.

This has got me a little worried...

shame, cause i liked that air breather thing :( how bad do you think that the a/f would change with it on?

cause, if anything, its running more on the rich side, you can smell the fuel sometimes :P

From CHA54 above, took your advice about removing the air breather, and have plugged the hole with a rubber stopper.

car was playing up yesterday on idle, so we reset the stock ECU and it runs fine, comes on boost alot stronger, and idles perfectly.

thanks for your help Chas54 :D (aka Corolla guru)

You need some HID mate =)

Let me know if you need any. I beat any price

NO HE DOES NOT!!

He had HID's in it for a while and they blinded everyone.

IMO HID's are great, but you really need projectors for them.

hahahahaah

he does need HID's but he needs the right bloody housings for them. Don't get him to put them back in, it took us Brisbane crew months to get him to take it out. But it wasn't even us, it was the motorists who flashed him, swore at him and gave him the finger which convinced him the lights were too bloody blinding.

 at this!

I have seen the advantages and disadvantages of HID's and mine were probably the brightest ever, so i decided to remove them.

i liked it silver better mate sorry, nothing else is red

nice external gate too

Thanks mate, trying to get a colour scheme going, RED on the outside, blue for interior.

The gate is my bypass valve, so different to letting air out.

hahahahaah

As above, lol :P
