I had street tires on (Federal 595 SS). I might come on the 21st. i'm not too sure... i'll take up that offer if i come even though i'd be ruining your power:weight ratio

the day i think there was 5x close to 60. But the sessions were good fun as there wasn't many cars at the end of the day. :)

2 things:

1. DIY Camera mount passed scrutineering  , so to those who doubted you. haha. And proved to be more sturdy and better quality recording than my suction mounted one. Definitely can be improved though so.. Patent pending. lol

2. No wonder you got 1.54, you had initial D music.. unfair advantage.. that shaves off at least 2seconds! :P

got rid of the damn scratches caused by the doona flapping in the wind on my bonnet... and like wow i even was suprised with the before and after shot... :o

AFTER

This wasn't even the proper full detail... i skipped the clay bar. bonnet still felt smooth over the surface ;)

both shots were post wash. took me around 45 mins to do. so the sun was further up in the sky, so maybe that affected the after picture as well?

Got my pads changed over today and machined the rotors... the pads that went on the left didn't bed in properly but its getting there... a few more days of normal braking and it should do the trick.

My TRDs fronts were pretty much down to the last matchstick size :P

TRDs black ---> QFM HP-X pads. Pedal feel is quite good. but thats how the TRDs were when they were first put in.

rotors were of minimal wear as well (even though i punished it on the track). of course the left passenger got more punishment as the track was a clockwise one.

what suprised me was the mechanic said, "your rotor wear is even better than most peoples normal "street driving".

so i must be doing something right... for once

pictures will come up when photobucket gets back from maintenence...

i'm running on QFM HPX pads aswell, loved them when i had them with slotted rotors. been on them for over a year now.. much better then EBC greens.

where were all you guys when i was tracking,, most of the time it was just me and a heap of civic boys.. nice to see that theres more and more of you guys getting into it now, good stuff keep it up ;)

what im concerned about are the pads on the left side didn't bed in properly... but hopefully with a few days of driving they will eventually bed the whole width of the pad. its getting there now just a few hundred more kms. im guessing the slotted rotors will cut them down so they will be flush with the rotors in no time ;)

ok. today was fun...

went to eviltwin's place to get the gearbox fluid changed to Castrol Syntrax 75W90 with the Nulon G70 fluid inside. We also got solid metal bushings replacing the gear selector cables. Was surprised how easy it was! should have did it myself! DOH!

Shifting feels more direct and notchy than the rubber bushings that were inside. when we got them out one of them was pretty worn out. Some noise was generating in the chassis on the way back home and upon quick inspection, the washers that were making the rattling noise.

maybe i'll get some rubber washers to be put in between to stop the rattling noise.

big thanks to eviltwin for the help. now i can change my own gearbox oil in another 50,000 or so :)

nice work Duy. Improved stopping power now. The TRD pads are fine, one more track day at winton, she'll be right. lol

Even more direct shift feeling? damn. Gonna look forward to watching vids of your car in action, the shifting sounds so nice. :D

today went to get the O-rings in the plumbing section. also had to fill in with another washer to full in the gap between the cable bearings and the lock pin. and no more rattling noise from 3k + rpm ;)

the order of the washers were this: rubber > gear selector bearing > rubber > small washer > big washer > lock pin

PORN GEARBOX AND PORN SHIFTING!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

ROH Turismos :D

16x7, offset +40? (they fit on my car no worries) ;)

one of them has bad scratches but they are for the track anyways so i'm not fussed. Though i would like these in white or bronze colour :ninja: will get these checked by a professional tomorrow to see if there are any structural damages on the rims

Now to wrap them in semis... and get coils for the track :D

Posted

yeah i did lol... but i just dry wiped them for talal to look at after i drop lauren off work tomorrow morning ;)

i need to clear the junk in my back port for these rims. i need to clean the back of the house anyways, too much crap there

I thought Peter/Duy said he bought them? lol anyway

They look good for 200 bucks! You should paint them black but I'm biased lol. What semi's you gonna use? What's the next target time? Guni did a 1.50/51 with RE55S's chasing me earlier in the year

haha i think your getting mixed up dude... it's Tim/Duy who bought them :P

I should get photoshop going before i powdercoat/paint them. did guni have coils back then? i don't think i will put them on until i sort my coils out. i don't want my side walls to be destroyed like last track day :(

i will be getting federals RSRs 205/50/r16 for 200 bucks a corner including fitted balance and alignment. I think it's a good price :)

as for the time, i might try to shave a couple more seconds off this time with my current set up. even changing the tires changes the way it handles so i'll try to minimise the mods and work on my skill/lines next time i'm there ;)

Do I see red sb & pc circuit rims? =) nice score duy!

RED is another option but fark, those will stand out like no ones business on the street LOL. will go with my red and black theme outside though eh?

i just got back from my tyre dude and he put each one on the balancing machine... he even marked which ones are good for back/front. watta top bloke :toast: now to store these babies away until i get other things sorted out :)

Change the colour before you wrap the tires on them. Red on black, will look aggressive on track :spiteful:

what about white?

Posted

yeah red is good but my calipers won't show... maybe bronze/white would be better. :D i'll ask one of my clients when he comes next week. he works at a powdercoating company close by. i can get them for cheap :spiteful:

Nice score mate on the wheels and the tyres your getting are sexy and grippy...

and yeah get the wheels chrome dipped...chromies FTW :P

edit...Rowes spot on,go with red or Takata green if you wanna stand out.
