Sounds like you are putting dunlop factory tyres, I tried those and got 32k out of them. It seems the aurion is harsh on tyres (sx6) compared to my camry which tyres (hankook) would go 90 to 100k.

Nothing of the sort -

finished the factory tyres @ around 30~35K Km

Mounted RE001 and then at around 60-65K km replaced them with Goodyear Excellence.

Just got the car serviced 75K Km, and the dealer commented the tyres were in Fair condition.. :-p

Dang - and just got dealer serviced to the tune of $350--WTF!??!

I guess they used gold instead of oil.

It has only just dawned on me that after 50,547km of driving, my two rear Dunlop Sport Maxx tires are the original tires that came with the car out of the factory. They aren't even on their wear indicators yet.

Considering all the mountain runs I've done combined with my driving style, I'm quite surprised that I managed to get this much distance out of a pair of tires. They have spent 10,000km on the front of the car as well.

I'm on 65,000K and still using factory tyres. These things never want to wear out. Still heaps of decent meat on them.

Yeah, but you most likely don't drive like I do. Remember... I went through a set of Adrenalins in 18,000km.

hahaha, come on man. I don't granny the car that much! I do give it a decent boot from time to time. But purchasing BP98 all the time really does keep my foot easy on the accelerator. Don't want to go through my premium fuel too quick

It seems we haven't found a tyre that will give good k's. will keep trying though.

can anyone tell me what the 0-100 of this clip is? Thanks :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VL5kK8-rIBc

An AT-X/Touring/Prodigy accelerating down a slight downgrade from the looks of it

6.08 seconds for the speedo reading to go from 0-100 (marked on the speedo), but if you count it properly which includes the time taken for the car to initially start rolling (indicated by the increase in revs before the speed picks up), then it is 6.71 seconds from 0-100 (speedo measurement) from the moment he puts his foot down.

No downward slope. It's a flat freeway. Prodigy don't have that type of speedo. They have the blue looking one. Would turning off traction control do any difference?

No. I've posted reasoning for this earlier before but really can't be bothered digging it up.

The acceleration there is normal for pretty much any N/A Aurion. Remembering 100km/h marked on the speedo isn't exactly 100km/h. An actual speed of 100km/h would be at about the 105-110 mark on the speedo. So realistically, your 0-100 time is normal at about 7.1-7.3 seconds.

Anyways, take it to the drags if you want a proper time. Won't get the 0-100km, but you will get the details that matter.

Bored to tears with work and want to try something new, but have invested many years here and only about 2 years away from long service (10 years)

If I get made redundant now, company policy means that I will get almost a year's payout..

HOW THE HELL DO I GET MYSELF MADE REDUNDANT? Any suggestions?

If you're only 2 years away from getting long service, you're probably entitled to have it paid out pro rata when you leave, just like with your annual leave.

The only way to become redundant is if your employer decides they no longer want your job to be done by anybody, or if they go down the tubes.

Try and hang in there mate if you can...i was in the same position a few years back, wanted out but still had 18mths before long service was due,i waited kept my mouth shut and i must admit it wasn't easy but after 19mths and a few days i pulled the pin and they paid me out,and it's a decision i've never regretted.

finacially it was the smart option and also looks good on my resume. :D

True true. But can't deny it was good to have to exclusive to Aurion.
