oh really i thought sunroofs cost heaps more than that

If I was buying a new Sportivo, I'd get the 'Sportivo' springs added - lower and stiffer than the standard Corolla springs (which are the same as the Sportivo springs).

yeah thats a good idea

BUT if you plan on lowering it later with sports suspension or whatever then i wouldnt waste my money on that either

but if your gonna keep it factory standard then you would go for the lower sortivo springs

Now if your definition of "sports suspension" is a set of King Springs, I'd say without hesitation picking up these Sportivo springs will be worthwhile. First, from a price perspective, they can be had very cheap on a new vehicle (ie: thrown in free, or fitted without labour). Secondly, they'll be covered by your factory warranty, which is really valuable.

The stock shocks are good and with improved springs you'll find them fine for hard driving. If you're really serious about suspension, you'd be working towards buying coil-overs (and probably not $1.5k, for cheap ones), which would replace your current suspension struts. But until you're ready to drop ~$5k on suspension work (I'm talking about going further than just coil-overs here), you'll have driving a much improved suspension setup right out of the dealer door.

Now, if you ever want to sell the car, you'd want to remove your coil-over struts and refit the stock ones - seeing as they're going to do nothing for the value of the car - and sell them off (on here, for example). Worse, some "lowering" or "sports" springs fitted to your car will probably reduce its resale value.

Webasto Sunroof - Hollandia Stratos700/43-5,

i got it done by toyota b4 they delivered my car, cost me $2500 back in 2003.

the tints i got them after market the dealer sent me to where they send all their cars to me tinted and they charge you 495! i got darker tint for only 220.

Anyone know how much the Lowered Spring set is for Sportivo?

Is there any market for 2nd hand springs - just if I buy the lowered springs - can I sell the originals which will have limited use?

hey man if you intend on getting even lower springs later then why would you waste the money on getting standard sports springs now

you will probably find that the price of the lowered springs you want later is cheaper than the springs from toyota

unless your going all out with coil overs then obviously they will be more expensive hehe

I finally put my name against a New Sportivo. Can't wait to get it.

Does anyone know of a good Window Tint shop in Atarmon or Penrith areas? Dealer wanted to charge $500+ for tint.

If anyone is buying, I would recommend Chatswood Toyota followed by Penrith. I found Chatswood were a little easier to deal with straight off the bat for price, but Penrith could offer the same after some hard haggling.

Does anyone in sydney have any good prices on insurance? Mainly interested in prices below $900.

i got mine under $900 (894.xx) with NRMA.

25 yrs old with 8 yrs driving experience (Syd).

insured with Market Value (agree value of $28000 will cost me ~$1000)

i know there may be cheaper elsewhere, but i just dont have anytime to shop around when i bought my new car...

oh yeah haha oh well that was 3 pages ago LOL

its basicly all been on accesories now

as for the SP23 going better i dont think so

maybe smoother ride but its NOT quicker

      It's possible that it could be something fouling or dirt build up, dry, or a broken mechanism, so have a look and give the mechanism some lubrication, most likely though, it'll be the actuator.       Query about the correct rotors for 2006 ACV40 Camry.

      Hi, I'm looking at a set of front rotors for an ACV40 2006, 2.4L Camry. I got a good price on some RDA's at Sparesbox. However both RDA8112 and RDA7686 show as for my car and I'm wondering what the difference is and if there were changes to the rotors during the model production. So does anyone know which rotor is the correct one? Many thanks in advance.

      Your solution is akin to suggesting that switching to a different car manufacturer would resolve the issue. However, not everyone shares the same enthusiasm for using an iPhone as you do.

      Turboed Corolla Overbuilt?

      that engine will be fine, the rods are the main thing to be concerned about. The 2860 is a decent turbo for the 1zz but in this day and age I'd go for a G25-550. The injectors might be on the small side, we run DW1000's. You need a full length injector, the shorter injectors with adaptors like ID1050x dont fit the 1zz head. You don't need an aftermarket intake manifold, if you do go down that path, avoid the CNC innovations unit, it's garbage. Do the boost control with a MAC valve and control it with the aftermarket ECU of your choice, I use Link stuff on most of my builds with the G4x Storm as the minimum. I also wire a fuel pressure sensor and oil pressure sensor to the ECU in my installs. Use a decent intercooler, the better cores (ARE, PWR, Garrett, Vibrant, Plazmaman, Hypertune) work a lot better than the chinese stuff like Aeroflow. a 450x250-300 fits fairly well with custom end tanks to route the cooler pipes through next to the radiator Don't forget about the clutch and gearbox. These days I like the Uniclutch twinplate, Above 300whp you'll want to think about upgrading the 3rd and 4th gears in the box also with the SSC (Hollinger) gear set and install an LSD of your choice. If you're going to give it a hard time, you'll also want an oil cooler. I like the HKS thermostat type sandwich plates and setrab or mocal oil coolers with -10 speedflow fittings/lines (Chinese AN fittings neck down to a lot smaller internal diameter in their bends, not great for flow) You'll also want to think about brakes, Celica or Sportivo front calipers will bolt on with sportivo discs as a starting point. To have somewhere like Tunehouse do the work you'll want to budget somewhere between 20-40K

      I did the mathematics myself regarding costs vs benefits for fuel injector cleaner. I have changed from 91ULP to 95PULP and 98PULP. Price difference can be about 13 -20 cents. Compared to 91ULP, Premium quality fuel should have a better quality additive package designed to have superior engine cleaning capabilities so the engine can perform at their best.

      Camry Touring 2010 A/C Issues.

      Hi Guys, My Camry 2010 Touring just had a regas done on it and the next day for some reason it wasn't blowing cold air but the next day it is and now working with nice cold air BUT every now and then we can hear and feel a buzz for a few secounds and today while my sister took my car I could her like a mild knocking sound when stopped but goes away when driving off. Any idea what this could be and the A/C is always working now for now.
