i bought these

http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...hl=d2+coilovers

will the new shocks provided fit ??

im thinking i got ripped off lol

Nah if you have all the stuff in that thread then you should be sweet, basically you need to just transfer the spring seats and mounts off the old ones to the new and you will be fine...

Edit...

The front and rear replacement struts wont look similar at all... the rears have the eyelet/bolt hole the fronts should just be a flat base... When you completely disassemble and strip down the old front's you will see that they should look identical to the replacements you have :D

what's the largest amount of K's anyone has done on their Taiwanese coilovers? I'd be interested to see how many K's they travel before they leak.

I did 70,000 of Brisbane street K's on my custom Koni's and they were good as new when I sold the car. That set was built by fulcrum.

i would not be surprised if that number was only 5,000-10,000

but it would depend on the version of coilovers if you are talking about d2 they have different versions and revised manufacturing where the old products are not as good as the new ones.

also depends on how that person drives their car and whether it was installed correctly and whether it is compressed on the lowest setting

Excellent lol..cos i just started cleaning them the other day..

im gona have a hard time pulling them apart lol...

i nearly broke my finger the other day rofll

these were originally my coilovers, the first in a corolla and sent from taiwan. i only had them a short time as i sold them to go overseas. the shocks you got are brand new and they would cost $150 each without postage so i think you got a good deal. the guy you bought them from had the shocks as spares. have fun with them!
