  1. Not familiar with the car but cos it's an 02 Toyota I'm guessing it's as Ash mentioned the LLC mixed 50% with distilled water which is what I always use on my ol' mans Camry. You can swap it out for an alternative Nulon or Penrite product but that would mean you dumping & flushing the system complete.
  2. Prior to ceramic on the glass I used to use the Mothers California Gold Instant Detailer which in itself is an excellent product & works beaut on the glass, only downside is it don't last very long. Will get the RainX next time it's on special. Thanks guys.
  3. Don't get me wrong, the CQuartz is awesome on paint & it even brings plastic back to as new condition. 1.5 years in & the coating on the paint is as I applied it, excellent performance so far. Just was expecting more from the glass, the droplets of rain seem to stick to it at speed until they get bigger & then start to move. By that time I'm struggling to see through the windscreen. I did also apply reload on-top which I think didn't help. I'll see how it goes, will try the RainX next. 👍
  4. I saw this back then, even my work colleague got the Kia version with same issue. Recently my mate mechanic had the Hyundai version for some exploratory surgery for another major/common fault - dead/non responsive accelerator pedal, cos the selling dealer had no idea how to fix it ! I think the Koreans still have a way to go when it comes to engineering.
  5. It's a crime that brand T didn't even bother with an LSD for the TRD, would've made the car so much better. Having said that the 2JZ is legendary just like the Supra, then there's the GTE motor 😉
  6. ^^ I'm guessing so. Haven't exploited mine properly yet but on one occasion I did try it & used the paddle shifters & thought it worked a treat. The best part is that I choose what gear & when I want it. Everything also livens up, throttle, steering, only problem with the Aurion is that the engine so damn smooth I can hardly hear it, not like my Hachi.
  7. @SkylineAurion My Aurion takes 1 second to start, cold or hot. Have you plugged in an OBD scan guage to confirm all is healthy with electrics & fuel system ? Sounds like you may have a fouled O2 sensor when you start it cold, but you say it runs fine ?
  8. @Squalled How long does the RainX last? I recently cleaned my windscreen with CarPro Ceriglass which I must say is amazing, never realised how dirty & "unclear" my glass really was, then applied 3 coats of CQuartz & I gotta say I'm kinda not impressed. Reckon I need to swap out those wiper blades for new ones but the glass isn't as slick as I was expecting.
  9. I too get all the catalogue specials emailed to me as I'm a long term Repco & SC member & as a result I now have so much stock it's almost laughable, I need not worry for quite a while. My next biggest job will soon be the Aurions 1st tranny dump/flush which I'm really not looking forward to doing. Reckon I'll wait a few more months when the weather heats up a little, too damn cold in the "dictator state" 😉
  10. Dude, how did you even allow the car to get so dirty ? And you're so thorough that you wore off your nitrile 🤣 Supa result, it's so clean I wouldn't want to use it afterwards & does she even appreciate all the effort ? Great idea using a foam stick to ceramic coat the hard to get to plastic grille.
  11. Howdy all. Long time not here, corona has turned me into a lazy prick. I really cbf doing anything except watch tv & sleep when I get the chance. Working FT again this year, thankfully. With regard to the 1.5 Ecoboost - well what can I say - it's a Ford 😄 & turbos cook oil quickly & so at 8000kms plus OCI I reckon are too long especially if **** oil is used. If well looked after with regular oil changes I'm expecting the 2GR to go the distance just like the 1MZ did so often. Even the 5S in the Camry's of the XV20 did alright, this one has so far covered 1/2 million miles - do the math . . https://www.mynbc5.com/article/mileage-milestone-womans-1999-toyota-camry-hits-half-a-million-miles/36833070
  12. ZR I presume looking at them wheels, although they've been plasti-dipped or sprayed black. Good one.
  13. Have no idea how it works, all I know is that's the story they've fed me on more than one occasion. I will call Michelin HO in the morning but I'm almost certain to get the "I don't know" answer.
  14. Michelin have struggled very badly in the last 6-12 months with supply, even from Thailand because of shipping issues due to corona. The story I'm getting from Michelin dealers is that scheduled deliveries to a destination gets delayed or canceled because the ship captain isn't willing to quarantine the local regulated 14 days so he just turns the boat around & goes elsewhere ! Can you believe that ? Michelin are losing sales big time, I want a set of PS4S for my Hachi & I can't get them & Michelin have no idea when a delivery is expected to arrive ! Bridgestone have no such issues, looks like I'm getting a set of S007's . . . .amazing.
  15. Yet another tool I've been dying to get but because of corona & laziness . . . . . how much coin Tony & where from ? I've bookmarked eBay. Another is from AST which I have for my old MCV20R Camry but it has the bayonet cap - absolute magic 😍
  16. Been wanting to get this for a while also but have been extremely lazy 😐 Link where you got this ? Cheers 😉
  17. Rippa car that celica, I used to own one 😉 Any pics ?
  18. I've been crowing about selling mine for years since I now have a dodgy back & drive an Aurion for a daily, but Hachi is still in the garage 😕 And despite it being a harder car to get in & out of especially in that tight garage, I still find Hachis seats superior compared to the Aurions & a comfy car after I've settled in to her. Mines done 1600kms in just over 12 months which is bugger all really. Corona lockdown played a big part in that. New Hachi is barely any different to the current other than a stiffer body & a few extra kW's, boring/uglier nose/tail design & it's heavier too ! What's also very interesting is the much "stickier rubber" that was supposedly deliberately missing in the current car for some drift action 😉 GR Yaris is a nice car but a lot of coin for what is essentially a tin-can with wheels, even if it is quick in a str8 line. I find the Aurion a rocket in itself & really don't need any faster tbh.
  19. looks like new, great job ! Reapply UV sealant (if you have it) often to prevent re-fading.
  20. Strange that the car chucked a DTC for a blown globe, normally the dash just lights up it's own warning light for "blown globe". 🧐
  21. Call a dealer, they will probably tell you str8 out. You don't want to get that wrong for the sake of saving a few $$.

    TEST

I have not experienced any issues with my car but cam timing issues were problematic on first batch cars made in 2012. Check FT86Club forums, more info there . . . . https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3132071 https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116036
  23. Above figure is correct . . . . 103 N*m{ 1049 kgf*cm , 76 ft.*lbf } straight from the Toyota Repair Manual.
  24. Odd that you lost all info when you disconnected your battery. I recently did same as I had a dim-bulb moment & to my surprise lost nothing, which led me to believe that the car must have some sort of stort term battery/capacitance feature. All I could say is park your car where you know you have good reception then try again, it should work just fine.
