OMG, OMG, OMG.... I'm so excited :D

Only if I was to change it, because the current colour scheme is what I'm already used to... plus it's soft on the eyes. ... I would choose a grey (like a gunmetal grey) and black combination, using white background where text is used to improve readability of text. Plain I know... but it's about keeping it easy on the eyes.

Muhahahaha. <cheeky grin> -
Looking great Vick. It's got the really smooth VIP look to it... but for some reason, to me it screams like it is a fast car underneath. Hint, hint

The WS fluid in the U660E automatic transmission has been said to be good for the entire life of the car under most daily driving conditions. As usual though, people will always think different (which is completely acceptable since this is a lubricating fluid we are talking about), but I would imagine for those that just drive normally an don't push the car hard, having the fluid last the life of the car isn't unimaginable. When it comes to changing it though, you have to ensure you use a WS (World Standard) transmission fluid. No one really knows what makes the WS fluid so special, but as far as it goes, this is basically what you are looking for. There aren't too many oils out there that satisfy this requirement, so your choices are limited. There is Amsoil ATL which is said to be a good oil, but I haven't come across anyone that has reviewed it with this transmission. Apparently there is a Penrite oil as well that satisfies the WS requirement as well as a Fuchs (ATF 4400) oil. I was going to give the Fuchs ATF 4400 a go with mine, but never got around to it. Personally, the Toyota stuff does the job so there would be no issues in sticking with it.

^ Noooooooooo. So not fair. On a side note, as I was in the car on the way to the airport on Monday morning, I heard how they said the first 3 weeks will be free. I will be out of town for that entire period. Bit of a bummer. But yeah.... :( -
Welcome Jenna. Good little cars those Sportivos. Looks like that's one less ZZE for the Victoria bunch. Seems about right. It seems to be looking like QLD for the Aurions, NSW for the ZRE's, and VIC for the ZZE's... but the ZZE's in VIC seem to be changing to other cars.

If you had the stock filter on (the white one) then there is no need to clean this as it won't have any filter oil build-up. In the future though (after fitting an oiled filter), you should consider cleaning it, but now isn't necessary. That question I cannot answer. I didn't really drive it far enough to determine that. You shouldn't really have any issues with it. I just have had a bad experience in the past, but this most likely comes down to over-oiling the filter when cleaning it. Here's one that SecaBoy took (thanks mate... lucky you took that photo).

When I used to use IDE drives, one problem I used to encounter more than others was a dodgy IDE cable. Just because the way they work really. The cable basically clamps onto the rear of the plug and a clip holds it tight. The connections there can sometimes go a little funny, so that's one thing to consider. But as you said though, hard drives are cheap as chips these days, and the added speed of SATA is also a benefit.

You mean the intake hose or the PCV hose (the one at the top of the hose just before the throttle body)? Either way, there shouldn't really be a need to clean it since it isn't really going to help anything, but if you want to do so... definitely don't use WD-40. That will make things worse. Just use some throttle body and carby cleaner.

It's going to be a cold winter for me in the Aurion.
DJKOR replied to Silver-Aurion's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
I would personally pop open the glove box (as in fully like you are changing the pollen filter), then remove the pollen filter. With the cover off, turn your A/C onto full (fan and cold) and while it is running, spray this into the front where the pollen filter goes. Do this for several seconds. You should be able to smell it coming out of the A/C vents. -
If you car is fitted with ABS, you would get the ABS self check light come on (and shortly go off) after starting your car. Otherwise, if you look in your engine bay, you would have something that has a fair few pipes coming out of if. It would look similar to what you can see here in the lower left above the washer bottle fillter neck: Don't quote me on this, but as far as I'm aware, the sedan Corolla's are what I remember having the white dials with that EL style backlight at night.

That was epic. Made me smile. -
Only listening to it because it is stuck in my head: Sub Focus - Could This Be Real Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!Heard it in one of the mixes while listening to Fresh 92.7 here in Adelaide. Didn't hear enough of it to let me Google words from the song, but funny thing is, I just realised this song was used in one of the scenes of 'Keeping Keeley' so I went through that again to hear enough of the track to let me Google it. What a coincidence.

Unfortunately they are on my laptop at home... which I am away from for the next 3 weeks. You can't miss it though. There are two 10mm bolts at the top and two at the bottom both silver in colour. You will easily see it when you look at it. You'll be fine mate. The process is easy.

Only if the person who brings it in for service specifically brings up the issue I would imagine. I don't picture Toyota fixing it unless you complain about it. I reckon some people out there wouldn't complain.

Welcome mate. Nearly all your questions can be answered by doing some searching and reading around this forum, but I will try to get you started. These are real issues to look out for. The dash rattle is more predominant on the pre-facelift models so if you get one of these, then this is something you would be likely to have. It is a warranty job though to get it fixed, but this can take a bit of time to get them to get them to do it for you. The transmission gear change issue does not exactly show up on all Aurions, but the issue is common enough that a fair few have reported this issue. Some other things to look for are detailed in this thread: Aurion recall/ warranty fixes, or What problems have you had? Otherwise, just do a search for 'issues' or 'problems' and you will come across quite a few threads that discuss things to look out for. With proper care, you can expect the leather to last the life of the car. You just need to remember that it does require maintenance and using proper leather car products can go a long way. At first it may seem a little firmer, but the more the drive it, the more you don't notice it. You just get used to it. As long as you aren't constantly comparing the suspension to other cars, you won't notice it after a bit of driving. As long as you take it easy, you can expect to get economy figures that rival other 4-cylinder cars. There have been posts where people have compared their mileage and posted details of their driving conditions. One such thread would be this one: Aurion average fuel consumption

What makes the Aurion better then other cars?
DJKOR replied to Silver-Aurion's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
As said by Steven in the first reply, it basically comes down to what you find better than the other cars on the market. Basically how the car feels to you will decide on whether you like it more or not. I'll just quote what I have said as this is still my valid answer. Also pointing out this thread so you can get further answers: Statistics of Aurion drivers -
I was also toying with the idea of having a black Toyota logo in the centre of my mesh grill to try and break things up a little from the large open space, but in the end, I reminded myself one of the reasons why I got the grill was to remove that logo from the front. In the end, all I had was the rear logo and I liked how my car had that look to it that make some people have to look at it twice to recognise the car it is. Personally, I would not put the emblem on it, but at the end of the day it depends what you like the most. As for the mesh, I bought mine from Autobarn for around $20 which was large enough to remesh the grill and cover the lower grill. 2 pieces are needed to do that as well as putting a second layer in behind. Most auto stores should stock it as well.

Yeah, she wasn't all that great looking a couple of years back in my opinion, but her look has been getting better (even if it is makeup). I just have a soft spot for an accent like that though which makes her even hotter.

That Evo sure is coming along nicely. Definitely carries that personal touch of yours like your Rolla did.

Vick, if you want to rule out whether it is the bulb or ballast, swap the bulbs around. If the same thing happens on the same side, then the issue most likely lies on the ballast end of things and if the issue moves to the other side, then the lamps are probably at fault. It could be either your ballast is on it's way out, or the wiring to it is not as solid. Proper power connections are essential for the ballast to operate without issues. With all HID kits I've had, I have had the odd occasion where one side does not ignite, and to fix this, you simply turn the headlight off then on again. Turning your HID's on while stationary and waiting about 15-30 seconds before driving off is also a good idea as this reduces wear on the lamps. The process that gets HID's started is a little bit complex in a way so if it fails to start the first time, then trying again usually does the trick. A general aftermarket ballast will usually attempt 3 times within a second to get the lamp to ignite. If this fails (or if it does ignite then goes out shortly), it will not re-attempt this until power is removed from the ballast then applied again. Good tip above... that is one of my recommendations as well.

And also, you should do the paint in your city due to shipping risks. Some part of paints might get damaged on the way to aussie. Another reason why you shouldn't get it painted before you receive it is due to colour variance. Not every car is the exact same shade. By getting it painted locally, you can ensure that the colour is matched as close to your car as possible so the kit will fit in place without looking out of place. As for the strength of the Thai grills... nah, they can even handle some good flex :( On that topic of things, that front bumper sure can take a flexing.
