ok, I'm oficially puzzled.................not that its hard to do, but thats a whole other story :D

How can Toyota claim the stivo's to have 141kW, but this is a good dyno chart?

Honestly TRDYUS, I'm not having a shot at your car, its a general question.

It also makes me want to put my car on the dyno and find out how mislead I am at present.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Most car manufactures measure power at the flywheel, not the wheels. You lose about 30-40% of your engine's power through the drive train, so its not that bad a result considering.

And dynos are usually used as a guide for modifications to see what sort of improvements you are getting, the peak power will vary from day to day, or dyno to dyno.

But I would like to take our cars to a dyno day and see what we can get!

And its ok Dave we all know your easy to puzzle :P

another thing also, I'm not 100% sure. But those figures are obtained with no other ancillary components hooked up?? Alternator, AC compressor etc....

If thats true then any car company who does it is truly geigh to the highest degree

It was a typo. They've never fixed it. It's supposed to read 114kw.

hi guys.

am new on here.

just wondering with the 05 corolla sportivo, if installed with a CAI and full exhaust including extractors, does the car run rich/lean without an aftermarket ecu?

should be fine without the aftermarket ecu but if you put one in combined with the cai and extractors and exhaust youll be able to milk more power out of it

still nice power curve very smooth the ces kit definatly doesnt disapoint

Um, how about Toyota. Silvertop 20V one hundred and twenty something kw at the fly is a case in point. No waterpump, Disconnect PS/AC belts, etc and you could come come close.

Nicely done. Will be getting my car dyno-ed stock just to see how much its doing at the moment. Then put the CES package and then see how much I've gained. Hehehehe. Can't wait.
