Congratulations Dave the first 14 sec pass by a Corolla Sportivo that I know of anywhere in AUS :blink:

I hearby proclaim Screaminrolla as AUS fastest Stivo........anyone disagree??

Now the Bar has been set the challenge is on........do i hear a 14.8 in the wind??? B)

FYI - Wei wei ran a 15.350 last night in a stock stivo with only CAI :D

Would only be good if the wind is over 160 km/h and they don't run in those conditions... cyclonic!!!! :P :P But I guess fractions can come off if you have am 80 km/h tailwind to help the launch...

Dave... Great going, brilliant work!!!! Looking at the splits from the mid track you just ate the other guy!!! What were you up against, had a good launch but no top end by the looks of it...

hmmm imagine the potential if we could get the Stivo to launch properly...

OK, who's up for an upgrade to LSD?????

Yeah Dave is tall but I wouldn't exactly call him a 'big' person. But having said that I wonder what a lightweight like me could pull in Daves car... ;)

I'd say there would be a saving of 10-20 kg's

Always knew it'd be a silver car(either Dave's or Mine! :P ). Congrats mate on the time. CES will only make you faster damm it. Wish I had money to spend on the Bullit but instead have to buy the house and garage for it to reside in!!!

Well Craig pipped at the post but at least it was a silver car. Goes to show eh? Black must be the slower colour.....

since it's dated 29/12/2004 I'm assuming you scammed this off someone else, or else you would have been well more excited over New Years, and interesting that it has just now surfaced almost 2 months later!!!!

And if not, I want details... :P

EDIT: plus the splits look decidedly wrong for a Stivo, now the 15.58 run on the left looks almost exactly like a Stivo, unless you've pulled some different gears from somewhere I can't see that large a difference coming from 2 rather similar stivos as far as mods go over just the last half of the track, because that would make it all car and not driver differences...??? <_< :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Nice time Dave! It doesn't come as a surprise to me and i have always felt the Stivo has the potential to do 14s especially with your mods! I'm sure you can better those times!

I shocked a VX SS commodore owner for the first time the other day and beat him by half car length till 140km/h, twice! Did a decent tyre screeching launch and chirped 2nd gear so hard! His only comments in the end were "Is this thing stock?" and "lets try 0-200km/h" :D

      Buying 3rd hand 2010 Aurion Sportvio for $9000

      That is about the standard price you'd expect nothing crazy, I paid pretty much the same for a 2008 model with 160k on the clock. As to the high km's and maintenance, 165,000km for a Toyota is nothing to sweat about and the maintenance/repairs are pretty cheap. If it's been treated well by the previous owners and you continue to look after it then it will easily last you another 5 years.

      Removing low beam bulb 2014 Camry

      I apologise if this is an idiotic question--I've searched and watched dozens of videos on how to replace a burnt out bulb, and i'm fine with it (i've even done it before, though it was years ago). the problem is that I can't seem to get the bulb out of the 'plug'/base--it seems that that is too blindingly obvious to be explained or shown on camera. I can't remember what I did last time I replaced a bulb... I don't know if I have to push something on the fitting to release it, if i have to twist it, or just yank really hard. I've applied as much strength as I dared, but am afraid of breaking something if i try to brute force it out. I could just pay $15 for someone at supercheap to pop it out and replace it for me but it's become a matter of principle at this point... I'm unwilling to admit defeat. The photos below are from a different post on this forum, but they're the same exact kind of bulb/fitting i'm struggling with... Any tips would be much appreciated. My wife is getting really annoyed with me because we can't drive at night but i'm too stubborn to pay $15. Thanks!

      Aftermarket Air Intake

      Hey all, Just recently bought a 2007 TRD Aurion and am trying to find an aftermarket Air Intake, but am coming to the realisation that there is a very limited market for TRD Aurions. So far the only system I've been able to find is a K&N Typhoon Intake (link here: https://www.carmodsaustralia.com.au/KN-Filters-69-8611TS-69-Series-Typhoon-Performance-Air-Intake-System-Camry-35L-07-11?cq_src=google_ads&cq_cmp=18898892770&cq_con=&cq_term=&cq_med=pla&cq_plac=&cq_net=x&cq_plt=gp&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwpZWzBhC0ARIsACvjWRP893VLnAQsxIZJjcW5Go75b_T2N25rSWBVu6IeDziM2v41bpeyOREaAg1fEALw_wcB), however when viewing specifications for the product it states it fits Camry's from 2007-2011. Further digging revealed this product is an import from the USA hence why it's for a Camry - they don't have Aurions there. I am aware that they both share the 2GR-FE engine so I'm assuming the product will be able to be retrofitted to my TRD, provided the throttle body intake is the same diameter across Supercharged 2GR-FE's and N/A 2GR-FE's. Has anyone else in Aus had any luck sourcing/fitting one of these K&N Intakes, or know of another brand that do them specifically for the TRD Aurion's. Pretty confident in just ordering the aforementioned kit but their return policy sucks (can't return and refund if packaging has been opened, etc). Cheers guys! Jason.

      Heater problems

      My Toyota Celica SX blows cold air at the driver’s side when the heater is on, and it is an absolute nuisance. I get that it takes a while for the heater to work properly, but some reason after I have the heater on, it starts blowing out cold air even after a good warm up! I feel like the heater core may need replacing or the air conditioner/heater needs re-gassing.

      Entertainment Unit Upgrade

      Hi everyone. Just after some advice on head unit upgrade. I'm looking to upgrade the functionality of the entertainment system to do a few things - display my dual camera from my caravan, utilise the HEMA OnRoad/OffRoad module, stream to the rear screens, and include wireless apple play. I've narrowed down to the most popular which seems to be Advanced Ice, EC Offroad and Galios - but none seem to do all four functions seamlessly. Not sure if I'm actually looking for a unicorn or not...has anyone had any experience in installing one of these systems and has it done all the functions? Any regrets? Cheers Mark
