Jeffys - 2003 Camry Altise - Updated pics !!

After the track day, decided to have a play around with the foggies i got a while back, its not connected as of yet but ive mounted them on,

Furthermore, found this at the auctions

best thing about it is this:

-yep its a manual, quest for manual conversion has begun !

in the mean time i started to salvage some of the parts off the sportivo starting with the tail lights

-applied some vht nightshade masking out the indicators/reverse lights so i can see at night better

I also took the seats out of the sportivo and replaced my stock ones

-theyre sorta buckety and hugs you better than the altise ones that i had, lot softer too and i think it sits a bit lower

During the week when i went over to a mates place to party some cheap basterd stole my lip spoiler <_<

replaced it with the same one from eBay, looks a lot bigger than the old one.

After that, i sent the camrys away for the conversion to be done:

Three weeks later: i got it back with big smiles on my face :]

With new clutch, machined flywheel, fresh fluids, belts replaced, water pump replaced, new filters & plugs, she's pretty much a fresh car

This is how she stands as of today,

Thats all for now ! new mods are to be followed after the manual, like an intake and exhaust etc.

cant wait for the next winton day to see if i can drop the time with the manual box.

Well done Jeff, I bet its a lot more fun now :D How did you find the QFM pads performance? I wasn't overly impressed with mine, compared to Bendix ultimate, but admittedly I kept the stock caliper. So whats next? Turbo!!!

Not sure about power gain, but theres more gforce compared to auto whilst accelerating

The QFMs are awesome ! Still meaty ! But gets really really dirty + its noisy when not warm, Yep next big step is the turbo :]

Also tried out an RS Type front grille or TRD Grille

got it from eGay

-being eGay, its sh*t quality and didnt really fit properly, they gave me screws for me to mount it instead of the OEM style nut & bolt combo... wtf...

-so i dummy mounted em onto the car with cable ties, as expected it didnt even fit properly, it pops out around the edges

-also didnt quite like the look of it so i returned it and went back to my normal grille

ill probably end up getting the sportivo face lift one or something, or keep the standard one.

Hi all, not much has been happening, just wired up the foggies to work and changed the knob since the conversion.

-feeding wires into firewall

-wiring switch

-testing the switch whether i wired it up properly or not

wired them up independently with a switch

-SOLAR FLARE ! 3000k foggies

Good job Jeff! the fogs look good, I finally got mine done as well, only took 2 years lol, thanks again for the plug!

I got one of those grilles a while back as well, but as you say the quality is sh!t and it didn't fit, I tried modifying it but lost interest.

Hi again all !

Just after the annuals, i crossed another item off my mod list, the "black/red interior" picked up a whole interior set from the dash to the carpets to the side trims, everything ! from a facelift sportivo.

Photos as per usual:

-what came to my door tuesday morning ;)

-its like unwrapping a present on christmas day ! :D

Started off with the door cards during the week, as its a small job and save the bigger ones for the weekend.

-the mats are fairly new actually, just never cleaned since 2011 ... maybe if i clean them properly it might turn out black ?

I'm usually the reverse - don't notice rattles until I shake them loose with the stereo :P
