  1. I hear you G. Sometimes it's a little tempting buying stuff you don't really need now. I like to stock up so I feel comfortable in the fact I don't have to do the last minute rush to buy stuff when you need it quickly. I know some places open on Sunday but by that stage you'll pay full mug retail..
  2. I think this is that price creep we touched on Ash.. Thanks for the link too.
  3. It is a bit disappointing to find scuff marks on anything, especially wheels. My biggest bug bear is gutter rash. If a wheel has even the slightest bit of rash I keep looking. Scuffs like these aren't too bad and you can reduce them if you have the right gear or pay someone to do them for you. My Rupes Nano iBrid is perfect for these. You'd need to go over the scuffs with some very fine grade sandpaper, say 3000 then polish with a cutting pad. Powder coat clear coat is quite thick but you need to mind the edges. Here's a video I think will interest you. Looks like they're in their shipping box too. Did you buy these privately and did the seller disclose the blemishes ?? Were they advertised as "brand new" ?
  4. Hard decision. They both look great, but if I had to choose one I'd probably lean toward the 2nd choice. Are they both 18's ?
  5. I have noticed this too. at the bottom do you see "clear editor" option with an "X" ? That's how you can clear the prefilled text. Otherwise try doing a page refresh. Not sure why it happens. It was glitchy like this in the old skin too.
  6. I have to say it looks good. I don't mind the stainless steel moulds personally, but you do need to metal polish them occasionally to clean the tarnishing off. It's those damn B-Pillar moulds that give me grief. I'm going to do a little resto on mine soon. I'll post up some before, during and after pics when I do. Nice one Matt
  7. That's excellent advice Ashley. I get my wife to refuel even when it's half way and 1/4 tank is like 'empty" for her and we never let it run right down to reserve. I suspect the O.P. is filling up with quite a bit of juice still in there. Not a bad thing anyway.
  8. Nice way of putting it lol.. At least you'd have something for show and tell 😄
  9. Reverse camera and reverse parking sensors are standard fair across the board. They need this for their 5 star ANCAP Rating. https://www.nobletoyota.com.au/new-vehicles/kluger/features/
  10. Hopefully is something temporary or at the least very minor. Don't worry about giving it some stick either, it can take some punishment. Just don't lead foot it off the mark. A gradual application of the the throttle would be better. We're the same with our Aurion. It never gets driven hard. Don't need to with the power it so generously gives for what little it asks.
  11. So what is it you're trying to do here with having the entre display lit up ?
  12. Sounds like a very frustrating situation. If I had one of those Gopro cameras, I would've mounted it inside the engine bay and have it trained on the trouble area to and see what the heck is going on. Poor bloke spent too much money with no fix it seems.
  13. Hi wasim, I have a Sydney friend with the same name too. Welcome to the forum my friend. You came to the right place. Looks like you made a good choice for your first car. I'm sure it will serve you well and if you plan to do the maintenance yourself, take the time to do some research as Ashley mentioned and ask plenty of questions. Congratulations on your new acquisition mate
  14. Did it cure the rattle noise I wonder ??? Or did he simply do an engine flush to get the VVTI actuation to settle down and charge him like a wounded Bull. Wow, what a major kick in the guts !!
  15. Oh man, I used to have a white 1991 Seca SX (100KW) in the mid 90s. That was such a nice car, I wished I kept it. I hope you find it mate.
  16. Looks Fantastic Matt ! Looks like a Factory install.
  17. You'd probably have better fitment with a Toyota 18" wheel from either Aurion or Camry. It should take some of the guesswork out I'm sure. You can try a local wheel place, sometimes they sell Good second Hand Toyota wheels that owners sell to them when buying new wheel/tyre combos. I constantly scour gumtree and Ebay and browse the market to see what's on offer.
  18. I purchased a real snazzy one from sedy-tools off Ebay earlier this year. Unfortunately they have run out of stock otherwise I could've linked it for you guys here. The nicest feature of this one is the colour LCD screen. It was literally the only one of it's type sold through this seller. I'll send him a message and see if they'll be restocking this item anytime soon. It was around $45 and for the money It was miles ahead of the more expensive brand name items.
  19. Money... What's money ?? 🤣 (Famous line from Seinfeld, when Jerry was contemplating buying that Suede Jacket with the candy stripe lining) Live a little, spoil yourself.. 😜
  20. I have my reports from my visits to Bob Jane I'll dig up and post when I get a chance. Funny thing is, I distinctly remember seeing "Camry" on my paperwork lol..
  21. Hahaha yeah, it's kind of like that 😁😜 100%. Spend a bit extra, get quality that will last and makes the job more pleasurable. Expensive yes, but I was able to get a better deal than the usual "advertised" price from a local tool shop who imported a few pallets of these. They keep selling out due to the high demand, go figure..
  22. I think a weak spark could also be a tired plug perhaps or even one that's not gapped correctly too. Carbon fouling can be an issue I suspect also. I experienced pinging from bad fuel, or "expired" fuel where the octane has plummeted and no longer burns efficiently. Not the Aurion, but my M3. I forgot to ad stabil to the fuel tank when I started driving it less and less and the same 3/4 tank of fuel I had in it had aged a couple of years until the fuel pump decided to pack up. I drained the fuel tank, replaced the fuel delivery unit, flushed the fuel lines, replaced fuel filter and it's very happy now. I've since added Stabil and it's been fine since.
  23. All good Buddy. Feel free to join my tyres thread if you like. It's all relative anyway. I'd have a hard time deviating from the Michelin brand. If It were my choice, I'd spend the extra $$ for the Pilot Sport 4. From everything I've read, It seems to be the more superior tyre in that range before you start going to the Cups. I think I'll probably do the same too, not discounting the Primacy 4, it would be nice to try something a bit different. If I find the wear unacceptable then I'll go back one to the the Primacy 4. Just wish the retailers offer deals on MIchelin tyres instead of the tyres nobody really wants..
