Finally got myself that rear left side hub bearing that has been the cause of so much grief over the last few weeks. Not the cheapest thing to buy at around $270 but at least it was better than the retail price of around $360.

Still haven't quite got the full energy to go through the effort of changing it yet, but all is good. I also ordered a set of DBA Street Series (because 4000's weren't available and would be overkill anyways) slotted rotors for the rear. The left side is scored due to the effects of a bad bearing, so once those come in, I'll see how I feel about changing it all out.

Finally got around to washing my car. Only the outside for now; I'll clean the interior tomorrow.

I also learnt the importance of keeping the exterior really clean. After months of not properly caring for my paintwork (ie. my regular waxing, claying etc), the elements have started to do their thing to my paint. The mix of long days at work especially interstate work and me treating this car more like a daily driver unfortunately led to this.

As I was drying my car with it's microfibre towel, I noticed it felt a little gritty. Got out my 1/3 of a clay bar (which is usually enough to do the whole car under optimum conditions), and got to work on the bonnet and front 1/4 panels. After that exercise, it looks like I'm going to need an entire clay bar for my car. The bar just kept getting clogged and turning dark after doing just small sections. How could I have let this happen.

Despite the car 'looking' pretty clean, it is going to need a bit of work. Looks like I've got something to keep me busy then.

Funnily enough, I spent the better part of my after noon washing my car after a long hiatus.

Need to Vacuum it and wash the wheels.

I clayed the top for the first time in ages and it was disgusting.

A light wash every 2 weeks is the plan from now on. Because of the colour the car doesnt look dirty when it is and the dirty hides those swirls i cbf putting the effort into fixing.

Day before yesterday: Ordered something

Yesterday: Got dent fixed at Dent Clinic that Kenneth. recommended. Top job!

Today: Washed and waxed... then realised that 2/4 of my Buddy Club valve caps have been pinched :@

Pretty eventful day dedicated to my car. Things kinda led to another etc.

- Changed my rear left hub bearing.

- While I had one rotor removed (and it was stuffed due to the bearing), I changed my rear rotors over to DBA slotted.

- I also used this opportunity to adjust my foot brake to how it should be. Now it holds like it should.

- Since the car was up on stands, I performed a wheel/tire rotation.

Then because it was really needed as well:

- Washed her thoroughly on the outside and rinsed down the engine bay.

- Cleaned her interior to my tidy standard. Previously had driven about 40km worth of dirt road and the dirt ended up lining the doors etc. Was filthy.

- Clayed her well. Some areas requiring three passes to get her back to standard.

- Waxed her with some Sonax.

Now she feels like normal again. And for some photos for the fun of it.

Before. Old rotor damaged due to bearing being stuffed:

Out with the old, in with the new:
