Got the fingers crossed the weather holds up for us to take some snaps, although my car may not be the cleanest after the trip down :( Unless I can find a car wash close to Albert Park

Hahaha yeah I'm thinking whether I should give my car a quick spray. She's just been sitting there; time to stretch her legs!

For all the new members still thinking if they should go or not, come and meet us regardless of if you have mods or not! It's not just about the cars; good to talk and meet people that share a common interest! :)

Hi all,

As discussed with Tash, I am proposing to do the next monthly meet at a bowling/laser skirmish centre. Looking at the Classic Package - Option 1, which includes 2 games of either bowling (includes shoe hire) or laser, burger and drink for only $25ea. :)

To keep the tradition, it will be the last Sunday of the month, Sunday 28th August early arvo.

Location is still to be confirmed, thinking either Highpoint or Watergardens.

Meets always don't have to be always about cars & cruises; this one can be a bit different and chilled back. :) If you're interested, copy and add your name to the attending list. I need to know numbers as I believe we'd probably have to book.

Okay, this time I've checked my schedule and while I'm hideously busy that weekend, I'm making a special exception this time, because I always miss these things now with life and work and stuff. :( Want to catch up with you all again.

Watergardens is my preference due to proximity and the fact it's like less than a year old. But Highpoint is ok too, ah the good ol days of Highpoint and spending entire days playing Initial D at the arcade there. :P

Bowling is my preference also due to the fact Laser Skirmish and I don't get along. But if Laser Skirmish it is, i'll still go for some socialising. :)

Awesome, good to see people getting into it already :D Let's just make it Watergardens then to keep it easy, I will update the first post and thread title now and we can nut out the finer details shortly. Probably start with some bowling and move onto the laser skirmish?

i mean, taken factor that its not only us that is going to be running, but as soon as the members from tocau are done, we go to our meet :3

Afaik, there will be two runs per person, so I assume everyone has a run, then it's round 2 for everyone to have their second run.

Another thing to consider is the turnout, I have seen this dyno day advertised on at least two other forums, so there could be a fair few people so unlikely all TOCAU members will have both runs done by then.

As long we all are parked up together, could still make a decent meet out of the dyno day.

Those two runs are done on the one time at the dyno. I.e you ramp the car up on the dyno and they will run it once and then again, back-to-back then the car comes off and the next one comes on. If you want another run, pay an extra 50 and go on again but that's a pretty dumb idea

That's a bit odd running back to back, no time to make changes to see if you can raise the power output.

In that case it is probably wise to get there as early as possible. And that does open the door for TOCAU members to take off after everyone is done and continue our meet elsewhere.

I've never been to a dyno day where they only give you one run then the car is ramped off for adjustments, this isn't dyno tuning, it's power runs and thats it. What adjustments could you make to a predominantly stock N/A car anyway?
