Today I put an LED strip in my glove box since the 1.2W bulb that was in there was quite pitiful.

Then I fitted my front footwell lights which required a bit of effort since I was connecting it to the dome light circuit for a fade on/off effect. A pillar is non removable due to the curtain airbag so I had to work around that. Anyways, got the front footwell lights complete and managed to run the primary wiring for the rear footwell lights. Will put those in another day.

Also while I was at it, I ran the cable for my amplifier's remote gain. Didn't have any 6-core when I fitted it, so got some from the office the other day and finally got around to running it.

Edit: I decided to stop being lazy and ran the cables through my front seats and mounted the rear footwell lights. My LED's are now the way I want them.

Today i finished putting my engine back together after fixing my injector o-rings, and giving the intake manifold a well earn't cleaning. Took off all my wheels, cleaned them inside out and gave them a good polish (even if they are steelies). I also cleaned inside the guards.

Then this arvo I finished installing my new sound system, sounds sooo good haha. I washed, clayed and waxed it yesterday but realised i missed a spot and got carried away...ended up waxing the whole car and vacuuming it again, even though it hasnt moved in the last 48 hours.

spent some quality time on the gearbox/shifter side of things and found all the squeeks and noises and fixed them , changed the linkage bushings and the other day placed new box oil in. Also threw in the EVO 10 battery i had sitting here as mines dying..

Gave it a good wash. Man, the filth that was on this thing.

After removing filth found out just how bad the roof respray was... thinking of getting the whole car resprayed now...

Power steering is really farked now tho.

After checking weather report Melbourne, it seems like its going to be hot and dry for a few days (Very weird for this time of year). So I gave her a wash. After completing my wash, I popped the hood open to check oil levels etc and give everything a once over.

But I thought, hey about I use meguiars tyre shine on ALL the plastic bits that can be seen.

So I went ahead and applied it on every single bit of plastic bit, including that big front plastic part on the Aurions(the one that sits above the grill) and the engine cover.

Haha, you gotta see it guys. What a damn shiny engine

I love this meguiars tyre shine gel. It's my new baby :P

edit: I should give part credit to -davo for informing me of this magical gel in the first place.

Just washed my car after a week!! LOL!! Dont u hate it wen after u dry it, that yellow stuff ends up all over ur car... I HATE THAT CRAP!!!!

Today I drove her to Coffs Harbour. Got dirty from the showers on the weekend, and I didn't clean her because I was going to drive her here. Then there were numerous showers along the way, so now she is absolutely filthy. I'll be driving back in the morning, so I'm still not going to bother cleaning her, despite my massive desire to.

Quite satisfied as well that she has the same fuel economy as my last Sportivo when doing interstate drives.

I just convinced some1 to get the Facelift Aurion, only after I showed her my pre-facelift one. Gonna hate her car with all the extra features that we don't have.. :( . If it turns out well this weekend, we're gonna welcome a female Aurion driver.. :toast: *Fingers crossed*

Only a week.. Mine's over a month and it's black colour. I saw dents & scratches on 2 spots, touched em, only to find out they're bird craps.. ROFL!

Got the car back from the shop today. Well at the moment I'm having mixed emotions regarding my latest little modification.

I am absolutely wrapped with the rear! :D

The front however...

Almost feels as if it hasnt really moved from where it was sitting. Now from what I've been told, they should settle in but even then it'll only drop a further couple mm. That's about it. :S

I couldn't afford a full set of coilovers otherwise I would have done that, so I had to settle with a full round of kings. What do you guys think? Is there ssomething amiss?

Nice one Nathan  ...yeah the front looks close to stock height, the rear looks good, maybe post a side on pic of your car on flat ground so we can have a better view.

Fixed an issue that I've always had with my Whiteline rear sway bar. It tends to creak and squeak in the bushings when the grease is worn out, the grease only seems to last about 1-2months before the issue returns. Fed up with it, I went and consulted my good friend Mr. Google. Wrapped my bar with some pink Teflon plumbers tape.. Mmmm sexy.. hahaha

.. most importantly, no more creaks and squeaks! :yahoo:

Yeah, I paid that too for mine couple months ago. Damn expensive.

Well what did I do to my car today? I took her in to get the 60,000 service done. At the same time I got my few issues fixed under warranty like:"

Noise coming from left side dash, the fix on my work order says: Found clips loose and worn, removed dash pads, trims and replaced clips, completeled field fix and road tested.

They put the anti rattle tape in my centre console that would squeek.

The base of my drivers seat, some how got unclipped from its base and it was sagging in and it come right off if I pulled it off. They pulled it apart and fixed it. My driving position is now completely different! I didn't realise how low I was sitting. I'm very happy with this fix.

And my Tbar light connections were lose and they fixed them up too.

So I got fresh oils and fluids, filters etc and these problems that I was meaning to fix for a while finally got fixed.

Very happy :)

Your rego cost is dependent on age? That's a bit odd.

Well, today... more like tonight (last night whatever), I picked my girl up from the airport. Felt so great to drive her again compared to the i30 I had to drive for the last day and a bit.

Yea... Coz to renew ur rego, u need to buy the CTP. And CTP varies with the age As I remembered when enquiring their increase their prices, hence increase in rego.

Been there done that...i was under 25yrs once and i lived in Sydney (Lane Cove & Putney) for 10yrs so i remember the cost. :(

Not for us victorians. Rego fees are the same for everyone because they are all in one. No need for further insurance. The only way to get cheaper rego here is if you have a conncession like health care card or pension etc.
