  1. It's common of pretty much all Toyotas.
  2. It will be cheaper and more beneficial to use a stand alone ECU. You can "piggyback" a stand alone with your factory ECU to retain body control CAN communication. A TRD ECU will be hard to find and likely fetch a very high premium as there were so few made.
  3. The sound is like a lifter knock, but the symptoms and conditions say otherwise.
  4. Probably about 3 inches further than stock at the rear.
  5. Dellow Conversions may have something suitable.
  6. Probably regulator/brush related.
  7. What ia the charge voltage?
  8. They will be far too aggressive for an unmodified guard.
  9. Does it not have it listed on the compliance or build plate?
  10. 1. Pretty much whatever you can afford that suits your needs. 2. Depending on the year(usually 07-09), there are some dash melting issues. 3. Not a specific timeframe; however, the older any battery is, the less reliable it will become.
  11. When creating a sale post, please ensure that you use the sale template and that it complies with the buy and sell rules.
  12. I prefer the Kluger wheels. Easier to live with/clean as well.
  13. Start by calling every wrecker you can find in your area. The other option is eBay/Gumtree.
  14. The later the model, the better the technology will be. The batteries will likely be in better condition as well. What you can justify spending will be your limiting factor.
  15. It's easy enoigh to do. Just clean the surface well, take your time and remove any air bubbles. If you are still unsure, Youtube is your friend. The better quality you use, the longer it will last.
  16. Look at battery manufacturer catalogues, they will list the correct battery for the application.
  17. BT&T - Ignored a tacho and revved a car I did a heap of work on 1000rpm above redline, causing spun bearings. GT - Took thousands for a custom build from a friend and everything(everything) had to be fixed by CMR. These were found inside the sump.
  18. I'll update that thread in the next few weeks. No logic required for this build. Anyway, I leave this thread for CharlesByrom21's questions. This pic was more of a motivator/point prover. If they were the last tuner in the country, they would not be allowed within 100m of my car. Money would be far better spent at Capalaba Motor Repairs. I'm not affiliated with them, just an advocate for honest quality work. I would also avoid GT Auto garage.
  19. I prefer turbo personally. It depends on what you want to achieve and what you can afford. I have OCD, so things cost me more. The plus is that I do my own labour. The 2AZ has supercharger and turbo kits available, they won't have everything though.
  20. Because they were part of the rebirthing as well.
