  1. There is no homework to be done. Buy TRD rotors to go with the TRD calipers and pads and they will bolt up. I am assisting you and I do have experience with this stuff. It just concerns me that you have not worked this out for yourself and you are playing around with brakes. If it fit the first time you would be driving around with dangerous brakes as the pad would not be sitting on the rotor correctly.
  2. Wow! 😯 Yes, of course you do. The TRD rotors are considerably larger.
  3. Older, more kilometres and looks to be in worse condition.
  4. Out of those two only. The gold one. Check the dash for a sticky residue.
  5. You can do it...but it will cost more. If you do it yourself, beware of the risks and be confident of what you are doing. You mess it up bad enough and you could end up killing yourself. I'm not joking.
  6. Buy V8, install V8 in [insert vehicle here]. Simple.
  7. I would like to see it done with drilled and slotted instead of slotteds.
  8. Buy them and hang onto them until you can afford new shocks. You will be paying twice the labour if you do one then the other and doing half a job is pointless.
  9. This is incorrect. They help to cool the rotor, which turns kinetic energy into thermal energy. The faster you can cool the rotor, the better it will perform. You probably won't notice this on a drive to the shops...unless the shops are on the other side of a mountain or a race track.

  11. Yes I can and it will result in this thread being closed.
  12. He really should have found the ball joint, it is a mechanic's bread and butter.
  13. Repco usually have good specials on CTEK stuff. They are excellent chargers.
  14. This is why I am trying to push you guys/girls to create more topics and build threads. And the Facebook groups are great and all, but they are damaging to the traditional forums.
  15. I am 6'3" so I pulled the rear seat out and went in that way. 60/40 seats would make this much easier.
  16. Yes. Pretty much every bush on my Camry is polyurethane. They are harsher and noiser. I personally don't care, but some people do. The upside is the improvement in handling. More stable and direct.
  17. There is nothing wrong with machining rotors. They have a minimum thickness for a reason. Genuine rotors are generally quite expensive. RDA, DBA and Protex are all industry standard rotors. DBA is usually my pick. Bendix, Ferodo, etc. for pads. Unless you like throwing money into a fire, there is no reason to stick with genuine brake parts.
  18. I am referring to your conspiracy theories about the dealer, not the actual fault. They ran diagnostics and I am assuming the fault wasn't present at the time they inspected it. There is not much more you can expect from them.
