Got 3/4 the way through installing my amp and subs, until I hit the brickwall of being unable to find a way to get the power lead through the firewall.....damn Toyota and their efforts to reduce noise transmission into the cabin by running all wiring through the guards!

drill + firewall = problem solved.

Or just run it through the front guard and in the side like i did. (if you can on a rolla)

Would prefer not to drill if I can avoid it, going to take the splashguard and maybe the guard off today to see if there's a clearer run somewhere.

Coz this is the first time in a while I've actually jumped on TOCAU after having done work I'll bang up a few weeks worth of updates. :D

Month or 2 ago finally got the eyelids installed.

Few weeks ago, painted calipers metallic blue.

Fitted an Ultra Racing Front Strut Brace last Monday.

Had the cheap and tacky stock 'chrome' muffler tips chopped off on Friday and replaced with 3" double-walled stainless tips.

Ripped apart the interior over the weekend and sprayed all the silver bits (apart from climate control unit and head unit facia) in a metallic black, high gloss, clear over base finish. Put the clear coats on early this afternoon, so now to let them sit til tomorrow or Tuesday night when I can sand and cut/polish them, and then get my interior back together and stop driving around like i'm a povo with a commodore.

Just found out my car battery is now sitting at 2 volts... first a cracked windscreen, now a screwed battery.

It seems my car is not unlike a shark - if it stops moving, it dies :(

I gave her the ultimate wash. Today was a warm 20 degree day with the sun out and not a cloud in site. Your typical and wonderful spring day. So I washed, waxed, vacuum, tyre dressed the Aurion. God I love it when she sparkles like that.
