Are you sure they made a difference? The race team I work for (Supaloc Racing) said they wouldn't use them they crack on the race track. but look great the engineer Osca recons there as good as stock once lol. But then again they use $2000 Rotors on the Lamborghini.

Rotors?

I'm absolutely positive they have made a difference. If you had seen what I put my car though, you would believe me when I say so. Brisbane members would agree.

I've taken it to the track once and done many many mountain runs to the point where the pads were smoking, and they are still working like new.

In the end, it's my choice and purchase and I'm satisfied with it.

Just an update. More show, no go:

Asian Camry Hybrid tail lights:

They look much better in person. They aren't exactly everyone's cup of tea, but I like them.

I will definitely have to see them in person but at the moment I actually do like them!

The good thing about these lights is that they are not like the usual rice aftermarket lights that are ALL BLING and detract from the rest of the car.

Oh damn. I thought they would have looked good if tinted. I just don't want to screw them up by realising after tinting it that I preferred them better as they were before. I also think the actual tint spray doesn't come up as good as that as the tint is more of a darker colour.

dam what an update. Looks good Daryl. Tinted FTW!!!

Nice one DJ..i do like em tinted/smoked better than stock thats just me i'm on a black kick atm,i've looked at the pics you posted a few times now and they are starting to grow on me. :)

How does the little side bulge in the light suit the 1/4 panels?

Posted

Both are just equally nice.. One thing that's a must.. Is that if you decide to tint the rear, you'll have to tint the headlights as well.

after seeing these IRL today they are hot sh*t... leave them non tinted though

Thanks again for the comments guys.

any shots of the car lit up?

Here are some I just took. My point-and-shot doesn't do too well with the colours. The lights really are red and not that orangey colour. I also kind of miss the uniqueness of the twin round LED parker/brake light arrangement the old lights had. Just the fact you could see the individual LED's I guess.

I actually like it. It isn't that big that it looks too obvious and bad looking, but it's just enough to make the lights seem more of a feature rather than just being part of the car.

I've also decided to leave them non-tinted. I quite like them the way they are. Tinting I believe will hide the reflective detail of the insides... especially the blue parts of it which are really subtle.

Saw the back of your car today at the oxley round-a-bout tail lights look really good leave them the way they are.

HOT.... :spiteful: ... yeah, keep it non-tinted I think.. :)

Posted

yeah, daryl, definitely leave them non tinted... cause that way at least i'll have something unique...

yes, you are a prick, but after seeing them today, its completely irrelevant because i think they look fuqn AWESOME!!!

seriously, well done on doing the mod.. i looks great...

as you can tell by the photos i took of your car today, i LOVE IT!!!

Hehehe. Thanks mate. Good to hear that I've been randomly spotted already :D .

Looks like these lights are turning out to be better than I expected. I didn't think so many people would agree with the look. Thanks has to go to czaja74 (Greg) though. If it wasn't for him offering these for sale, I would never have gotten these.

Yeah Ash. I have a bad habit of impulse buying. The opportunity came up and I had to grab it. At least this one hasn't left me with buyers remorse.

after seeing them in action yesterday I say leave them non-tinted too :D

im sorry to break it to you daryl but i really dont like the new aurion clear lights. yes they look good when breaks are one but you went from red light which suited your car to a tee to blue lights....wth? the back of your car doesnt look right now. the rest is red and black and then blue and chrome on the back, just doesnt go sorry.

reminds me of a blind dog when they have that white sists stuff over there pupil

Yay, I've got some views from the other side of the table. I appreciate it mate. You know me though... I'm keeping them.

Much like how I and others said they don't like the look of a Colt, but people start to see it differently after a while.

Posted

your right time will tell ill have a look at them when i come out nect. look great on a blue/white car but not sure about the red. dont take offence to it daryl

Posted

I'm also for the negative. That said, this is still great aurion DJK.

Ha, colt's, like a little arms of micro bots when you see them together.
