  1. You probably haven't put enough fuel in for it to automatically reset. On another note, constantly running at low fuel levels will cause early failure to your fuel pump. The pump will be constantly be trying to pull the sediment from the bottom of the tank as well as the pump relies on the fuel around it to cool it.
  2. It is very unlikely these will cause an issue when the vehicle is stationary.
  3. RE003s are known as a very good tyre industry wide. Reasonably priced too.
  4. Good to see you fixed it easily. I am curious as to why it blew in the first place.
  5. If it has been tampered with for the towbar, I would definitely check there first.
  6. It's really hard to say as wreckers charge what they want. Just ring around and try get the best price.
  7. It is not isolated to the 40 series or the Aurion. There seem to be fewer issues with the 50 series so far.
  8. It is discussed at length in this thread. Please continue the discussion there. I will closed this thread in order to keep the information in the one place.
  9. Be careful increasing the wattage. The additional current draw may be too much for the factory wiring.
  10. May be worth contacting Toyota Australia if the dealer is unable to assist.
  11. Are you experiencing any coolant loss?
  12. As Hiro said. You may also have to have the car at a certain standard for the club to approve it.
  13. Does this only occur when cold?
  14. The squeal is probably the belt slipping from being coated in oil. The oil leak appears to be around the power steering pump, but could be dripping down onto it. Does the rattle last for a few seconds then vanish? If so it is the notorious VVT-i rattle. Expensive to repair, requires engine removal. Intermediate shaft is common, there are a few temporary fixes on Youtube. Pedders and Superpro make caster correction bushes. You are only missing a few items off the list of issues with the Aurion. If you do a search you will find more results. Would pay to check if your dash is sticky as well.
  15. The milage that you have given is not unacceptable in the throw away society that we now live in. Toyota(and many others) will never live up to the same reputation as it once had, it is just not economically possible these days. Unfortunately, coming from someone in the automotive repair industry, it is the sad truth.
  16. Manual for driving experience and a bit more power. The 5S in the Celica is actually slightly different to the Camry. The Camry had balance shafts geared to the crank whereas the Celica does not. These shafts sap a little power.
  17. He wouldn't be making money at that price. I would say that it will balloon rather quickly.
  18. The high idle on start up is normal.
