Does anyone have an opinion as to how much prices will drop on our superseded models when the new aurion hits?

Good question cos this is what I read in car sales for cars in WA (I am from WA)

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/results.aspx?base=1216&vertical=Car&eapi=2&N=904+1527+1246+1247+1252+4294962861+4294889509+1216+4294768577+4294739933&silo=Stock&Range=Price:Min,Max~0.5&sort=default

My previous car before it's write off was Toyota Aurion Touring SE like that one in my profile pic. When I bought it, it was $33 k back in 2010. Now it's $31 k or thereabouts. I expect this to drop a bit more come June/July for EOFYS (End Of Financial Year Sales for those who doesn't know sales talk).

Also I saw recently about Sportivo variants price drops!

Hmm Presara in Black looks veryyyyy classy and dare i say even Lexusish??? in other news Aurion's ANCAP result has arrived not that Toyota gives a great deal of merit to the way they go about it but none the less the Aurion out trumps Camry (which was one of the highest rating cars ever tested) and receives a score of 36.57 out of 37.00, have to be happy with that!

Man, I'm dying for some pictures of some information on this new Aurion. The anticipation is killing me lol.

It's a little strange that Toyota no longer advertise the Vehicle launch date on their Web site.

Posted

Probably because they won't to get rid of old stock as fast as possible so they don't reveal new models until they have sold most of the old one.

"The all new Aurion. It's been riced up" <- Spoken in the same fashion as those old Rav4 ads.

Seriously, take your hand and cover up the left side of the car from the rear wheel forwards. That a55 end makes me LOL:

Actually if that rear bumper was a bit more subtle that would have a very neat profile, in my own very humble opinion.

If you look at the equipment list though, I would see very little reason to get anything more than the base model, except with perhaps the leather pack.

Yeah i actually don't mind the way the Sportivo looks but i have been staring at images and seen the real car up close so the initial shock i got has long gone. i am loving the new Presara in Eclipse black though! i wish it had 18" alloys though. Don’t mind the design but just been that bit bigger would really set the car off further.

I like the look of the SX6/ZR6.

Even The base model AT-X has some nice bells and whistles.

Hell of a lot of kit for a base model. There'll be some very happy ATX buyers out there! Do they not want to sell ZR6/Presara? There's not a whole lot there that would make me buy a ZR over an SX. Leather's the only thing that gives ZR the "have-to-have" appeal. The rest is just gravy.

Posted

Yeah you certainly would have to be a lover of the latest toys and gizmos to warrant going to a Presara over a prodigy or ZR6 over the SX6.

Had a look at the Aurion website. That is a lot of kit for a base model negating the need for Touring models which was actually a combination of both ATX and SX6 if I remember correctly.

Although I really don't know if i like the big gaping fog light surrounds on sportivo variants.... 1st time I have seen AT-X not having fog lights as an option! Plus the rear end...shudders me a lot. And is it me or the new Aurion is wider than the old model?

Adamsy can you provide the picture of this Sports Combitron as I haven't heard of it before? Online brochure isn't up yet.

Its actually the same Optiron combi-meter as the others in the range just has different colours. AT-X, Prodigy and Presara has strips of blue aroudn the inner edge where as Sportivo has a Silver metallic look in the speed indicator needle points (where the numbers are written) but other than that im 99% sure there exactly the same. :) only image i have has crap written all over it.

Oh and just an interesting thing to note as well the dials now only go up 240km/h down from 260! Take that you lawless Arabs haha :)

I only just paid attention to this now. What the heck did they do to the bonnet?
